Christian Nationalism In the 2024 Republican Party Platform Clifford Cook

In another weird plank in the GOP platform, Republicans would create a federal task force to protect Christian Americans from bias and persecution by the government. The only case of supposed discrimination against Christians by the federal government that the Trump campaign has cited, however, is the conviction of a woman named Paula Harlow.

Christian Nationalists claim that Paula Harlow was sentenced to two years in prison as punishment for engaging in peaceful prayer. That's a lie.

Christianity and prayer had nothing to do with her conviction. Paula Harlow violated the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, plain and simple.
