Christian Nationalism Loses Steam But Claims Oklahoma For Jesus

Across the United States, the Christian god didn’t come out looking that strong in the 2022 midterm elections. Republican politicians from coast to coast had claimed that the god of Christianity was on their side. They prayed loudly in public, calling upon the power of Jesus to elect Republicans in a Red Wave.
That Red Wave failed to materialize. Christian Nationalist candidates like Doug Mastriano mostly lost their races. It seems that the majority of Americans think that Christian Nationalism is a terrible idea.
In Oklahoma, however, Christian Nationalist Governor Kevin Stitt won re-election, then promptly announced that every square inch of Oklahoma belongs to Jesus. How well has Jesus been serving Oklahoma on practical issues such as education, public health, and violent crime. To put it politely, Jesus has been doing very well in Oklahoma… for a guy who’s been dead for 2,000 years.
