Does Religion Matter More Than Democracy?

Christian Nationalism is the belief that religion matters more than American democracy.

Christian Nationalists put their religious beliefs ahead of respect for freedom. They assert a knowledge of universal morality, a system of right and wrong ordained by a supernatural spirit that they think ought to be given the power to overrule individual freedom. They believe that they possess the one true way to live, and want to impose that on others.

Christian Nationalists believe that freedom of religion is nothing more than the freedom to be wrong. Their righteousness has no room for individual liberty.
