Jesus never expressed any opinions about American politics. Neither did the Christian god. Why don’t Christian preachers follow that example.

When politicians use religion as a cover for their cruel policies, it only reminds us of the cruelty of their religion.

A religion that supports cruel autocratic politicians is in no position to claim moral authority.
