The Belief All Americans Should Be Christian
Christian Nationalism is the belief that all Americans should be Christian, whether they like it or not.
Legally, this belief doesn’t match the Constitution’s guarantee of freedom of religion and freedom from government establishment of religion.
Aesthetically, Christian Nationalism is just plain dull. A country in which everyone belongs to the same religion would be dreadfully boring.
Strategically, Christian Nationalism would leave the country bereft of alternative ideas, resting upon a single narrow peg of ideology, ready to fall over at the slightest challenge.
