The Dumpster Fire of Christian Nationalism

The United States of America was founded as a secular democracy inspired by the ideas of the Enlightenment, which asserted that people could learn to think and govern themselves according to rational principles and scientific inquiry.

Over 200 years later, the United States is plagued with Christian Nationalism, whose adherents believe that they don’t need to justify their beliefs with evidence and accuse science of being part of a global satanic conspiracy. Christian Nationalists scream and shout their feverish faith instead of engaging in serious discussions with other citizens.
