Jesus and the Violence of January 6

Can you read the story about how Jesus whipped people in the Temple of Jerusalem until they ran away from him, and then seriously tell me about how Jesus would never have supported Christian Nationalism?

The New Testament of the Christian bible has many verses in which it is made clear that Jesus was violent and was planning more violence in order to force people to join his religion and obey his authority.

Christian Nationalism is toxic, yes, but you can’t claim that it’s “imposter Christianity”. Christian Nationalists are sincere Christians who are following the word of the Christian bible, taught to them in Christian churches by Christian preachers, observing that the Christian bible is full of righteous bloody violence in the name of Jesus.

What if, instead of continuing to try to justify the violence and hatred in the Christian bible, we aligned ourselves in opposition to violence and hatred as our first principle?
